Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For PGT (Post Graduate Teachers) – English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Commerce, Computer Science:
- Two years integrated Post Graduate course with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) in relevant subjects, OR
- Post Graduate degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PH candidates) from a recognized University and Bachelor’s degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a recognized University
For TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) – Mathematics, English, Science, Oriya, Social Studies, Hindi, Sanskrit:
- Four years integrated degree course from a Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in relevant subjects (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates), OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science in relevant subjects with 50% marks in aggregate in relevant subjects (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates), OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University)
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 65 Years
Age Relaxation as per Government Rules:
- For OBC Candidates: 3 Years relaxation
- For SC/ST/PWD Candidates: 5
